Petitioner company is no more for a employer based green card

After a 10 year of wait on employment green card, we just heard from NVC to submit a Visa application (DS-260) and civil documents. When I tried to contact the sponsor petitioner, came to know that the employer is out of business and the company is closed. Can anyone help me how I can move further?

Does the original petitioner needed this time?
Do I MUST need to find a new employer in order to move forward?
What are the alternatives?
Things have changed in life in last 10 years, what is the max age of dependent children who are part of the petition are allowed to go as part of family?

You will need to find a new employer to file I-140 for you. You will have certainty about retaining your old priority date if the old petitioner went out of business after January 17th 2017, and the petition was approved prior to the business going out of date.

Thank you inadmissible for your reply. Since the letter sent asks me to submit DS-260 visa form and civil docs and since the letter also says that we are going to be scheduled for the consular interview, I think my I-140 was already approved (I am bit poor in understanding the green card stages). Do we still need a new employer? Please comment.
