I have a hypothetical question. Assuming that nothing changes in law and visas are available available, how long it will take to get a green card in my situation?
I'm 33 years old. I've been working in US for 4 years on L1B visa. I have Israeli citizenship and I lived in Israel most of my life (>20 years), but my birth country is Azerbaijan.
My company wants to convert L1B to H1B since L1B ends in Jan-2019 and also wants to apply for green card as EB3 in parallel. So, as I understood from reading from many forums that:
1 - PERM process takes 2 month for a company to find someone + 6 month for Department of Labor to process the labor certificate, right?
2 - once the labor certificate was approved after total of 8 month I can file I140 immediatly, right?
3 - AND assuming the bulleting says CURRENT I can also file I485 right with I140, right?
So, how long it should take for I140 and/or I485 to be approved? Again, assuming that everything is current and nothing change in goverment and etc.
Thanks
