  • Retrogression April 2018 and I-485 updates filed in March 2018 for EB1A category

    Dear fellow members,
My I 140 got approved in Feb 2018, EB1A (PP) at TSC. I have sent my I485 AOS (+I765, +I131) documents based on my approved I-140 (EB1A category) on March 19th by USPS and the package delivered on March 26th.
I got my text/email notifications on 04/11/18 and biometrics scheduled on 05/09/18. Lets share our updates. I am not sure if anybody got interviews scheduled after march 2018 during the retrogression. Please share your updates. Thank you.

    Thanks.

Thank you for sharing. Yes it helps. When was the retrogression in 2017? Did you apply during 2017 retrogression?

Do you mind sharing what location did you apply from? USCIS received my 485+765***31 application on Mar 19th and I haven't received my biometrics letter yet. I am from Houston and applied to TSC as well.

My field office is San Fernando Valley and I was NSC. I do not believe I applied during 2017 retrogression.

I am now prepping for my interview which is next week, I will let you know how it goes.

            Good luck to everyone.

Thank you, much appreciated. Wish you a very good luck on your interview. I heard some people saying that the interview was like a casual one on one discussion. For example, when did you come to US? How did you like US so far? What are your long term plans....etc.

Thanks! I appreciate your message. I hope it is like a casual one on one discussion as I do find myself flustered in formal interview situations. Hope your biometrics went well and I wish you luck with everything else. I will report back next week on how my interview went.

You are welcome, biometrics went well. I was asked to provide the appointment letter and ID (I presented my passport), a form was given to fill out. Once I returned the filled form a number was given and asked me to wait till the number is called out. Photo was taken and asked my signature before taking the fingerprints. The whole process took about 15 min, it was quick and smooth.
