Question on Travel to India

Hi,

I would like to apply for I-485 after the dates become current, I have made travel arrangements to India already for 3 weeks, with this situation can I apply for I-485 and leave to India or do I have to wait for any receipt of I-485 before I leave for India? Earliest response is highly appreciated. -Thanks!

Hello,
Even i have the same situation as you and I contacted my attorney and he says that we can go to India as long as we have valid H-1 visa.

So any other inputs on this would be appreciated.

Thank You! Somy, Yes I have valid H1 with stamping. All this confusion came up because some of my friends told not to travel to India until I get receipt of I-485.

Question on travel to India after 485 apply

I have a question here , provide suggestions will be great help

I am applying I-485 in first week of July , I am planning to travel to india on md of august with my family.

I have a valid H1 , My wife have a valid H4 Visa and my wife is converted from H4 to H1, She want to go for H1b stamping in INDIA.

Did she can travel without any problems after applying I-485,
