JULY 31 - deadline for I-485?

Hello,

My I-140 has been filed, but I am still not sure if it got approved. I came across some posts mentioning that July 31 2007 is the last date to file for filing I-485. Is that true? Can we not apply after that?

As of now based on the current bulletin the visa numbers are current for the Month of July. the next bulletin comes out in Mid July and we will find out about August.

Thus though the predictions are that the dates will remain current through Sep 30 2007, there is no guarantee.
You dont have to wait for approval of I-140 to file for I-485 there is something called concurrent processing. But if you are so worried then upgrade your I-140 to premium processing and you will get results in 15 days.

As for filing I-485 it can be done even after July 31st as long as the date remains current
