I-94 confusion
Hello all,
I changed my employer recently and I have a new I-797(which also contains a I-94 card). My first question is, do I need to detach this and attach it to my passport at the place where my old I-94 is when I came into the country?
2) I lost my old I-94 card (that was attached to my passport). I have re-applied for it thru' my lawyer. Is this needed? I still have the most recent I-94 card on my approved I-797.
3) Finally, I am applying for my I-485 and my passport copies contain the old I-94 (that was lost), and the I-485 application itself contains the new I-94 number (that is on the latest approved I-797). Also there is a pending application to replace my old lost I-94 card.
Does anyone see any problems with this setup?
Was I wrong in applying for a replacement I-94? Was I wrong in not attaching the I-94 card from the latest approved I-797 to my passport?
