My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years. He lives in Jamaica and has a C1/D and B2 visa. I live in the US and have a greencard for about 18 years now. If we get married, would he be able to get a SSN number so he could find work? If so, how long would it take for him to obtain the SSN #? Do I have to be a US citizen in order for him to stay here with me in the US?
