Hi,

My employer is going to file for my Labor this month (Aug, 07). I heard a lot of stuff that the priority date is current; so the green-card will be processed faster.

I work in Pennsylvania. Can someone brief me regarding the entire process:
1. Process Overview:
2. Service Center that I should be looking at?
3. Once my Labor is approved; which dates to monitor to understand the time it would take for my GC?
4. Will this "Current Priority Date" stuff affect me in any ways?

1. Process Overview:
You have to apply for the labor, there are three categories, EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3. They are explained very well on this website and also on USCIS website. It is better to have your company file through a immigration lawyer. Your priority date will be the date in which the labor application was filed.
2. Service Center that I should be looking at?
Your lawyer will have this information, i am in Massachusetts and my petition goes to Vermont.

Once the labor is approved, you can file for your I-140. Premium processing gets done within days and is expensive. Then you wait till your priority date becomes current for the category you applied. This information is available on the USCIS monthly visa bulletin.

No, you are just starting your process. You have a long way to go. Try to file in EB-2 or EB-1, they are faster. But it depends on your qualifications and skill sets.
