LAID OFF and GC Application

I was working in a company with a L1 visa. I have been laid-off because of economical reason. On my lay-off letter, it says that I need to leave the country in 30 days.

I found and signed a job offer with a company before that happened and started the GC proccess in July. EAD, AP, I140 and I485 have been submitted in July. I have not received yet the approval.

Do I need to leave the US?
Can I start working as soon as I have my EAD?
If I am leaving the US, Which visa I need to be on when I come back?

you are in satus and can start working as soon as you get EAD

it is not EAD that keeps you in status but the fact that you file your I-485. EAD is just work authorization
