Hi,

Sorry if this is a repost on this forum. My 6 year term on H1B expires in Oct 2008. My employer has promised to file my GC early next month. Are there any hopes that I may be able to continue staying beyond Oct 2008 assuming GC process is initiated in Nov 07?

What stage of GC will need to be cleared so that I can continue my stay after Oct 2008 assuming H1 extension? Any help/advice appreciated!

you need to have I140 approved to file for extension as the labor pending for more than 365 days will not be applicable. You need to start asap

Thanks waitin_toolong! With the current processing times, what are the chances of I140 approval before the H1 expiration date of Oct 08? Which visa(GC) processing center can be selected if given a choice to speed up the processing?
