My son has applied for permanant residency. His labour was approved with priority date as Apr 2003. I 140 has also been approved June 2007. 1 485 was submmitted on May 16 2007, with reciept date of July 2007. Has recieved work emplyoment auth card too. (Cat EB 3 SKILLED WORKER ).
He is also on student visa and after completion of his becholer has applied for OPT Dec 10 2007. Approval still awaited.
My question is:-
Should he start working on his green card appliction employment auth card or wait for 1485 approval. By not working would it effect his 1 485 approval. They may ask for pay stub or income tax return.
Or he should work on OPT emplyment auth card as he recieves.
Is it mandatory for him to work on green card emplyment auth after recieving the card.
If he works on GC Emplyment post what effect it will have on his OPT status.
I just want to keep his options open so that if by any reason there is some complication in GC process, he remains in status.
