I obtained my GC - changing employer

Hi, Thanks to God I received my GC a 10 days ago.
I was on H1B and thanks to my employer sponsorship I obtained the GC.
My last assigned ended on 2/22. And now i very likely that I can get a new job with other employer.
My wife's AOS is pending, she was pregnant while we submitted all the medical examination results, and last week we submitted an answer to the re-quest for evidence (a new I-693 with all the immunization shots + TB test).

My question to this forum members is:
What will happen to my GC if I take the new job with another employer?
What will happen with my wife's case?

Your Gc is fine and your wife's case should be fine as well. Unless it is a mutual decision by your sponsorng company to let you go, it might be a good idea to stay a while. The Gc was based on the intent of permanent position after all.

I do endorse the opinion of Mr. Waitin_toolong.

The spirit of GC and the laws connected with it are that one works atleast for a few more years with the same employer. It is for the future.

But it depends on your employer, who might be generous with you to let you go; you also morally feel it is OK to work for some one as soon as you got your green card.
