  • Having a baby

Hi! I have a PD of Nov 2005 (EB3) Philippines. With the movement of the visa bulletin, there is a good chance for my PD to be current on the May VB.

In line with this, I have a couple of questions:
    1. I am due to give birth end of April or first week of May. Now assuming that the visa bulletin moves forward to Dec 2005 on May, how will I add my newborn to my application?

    2. Processing of birth certificate and passport will probably take around one month, so if I give birth end of April I won't be able to get my newborn's passport until end of May. Now, if we are scheduled for a May medical and interview, can we bring our newborn with us and have her medical and interview at the same time with us even if she does not have a passport yet?

Any advice/opinion will be greatly appreciated.

is the baby being delivered in US or in Philippines?

As long as the baby comes before EB approval you should be able fie for I-824
it does not matter how long it will take to get the paperwork ready
