I was married to an American soldier but they denied me because he withdrew the petition so my employer petitioned for me. After 5 years finally we send in all the final paperwork and they denied me because the paperwork wasn't complete. The lawyer I had, was disbarred in the time I was waiting for their decision so I can't expect his help. My work wrote a letter to them to explain the reason or to add any necessary paperwork but they never responded. My boss doesn't want to go through the whole process again so I don't know what to do. I have 2 American kids who depend on me and without papers I can't work. I have been here for 12 years now and can't become legal. Please help.

we are sorry to hear the problems you going through ... don't leave the country without appealing for review of your case.
Please post following details, they will help forum members to give feedback.
why they rejected your case? which documentation they are looking for?
when did they rejected your case? they give limited time to appeal.
In which EB category did you apply?
Did they approve 140 yet?
when did you file 485?
collect all the documentation from your old attorney, what ever he have ...Last edited by randy_gc; 05-01-2008, 06:15 PM.

How old are your kids? have you left the US in the last 12 years? if not, you are entitled for "cancellation of Removal" after you go to the Immigration court.
The law says you need to be in the US for straight 10 years with clean record (clear criminal record).
Good Luck...
