EAD online renewal - Basis of i485 for derivative

I filed employment based 485 in 2007.

Last week I e-filed my wife's EAD renewal, and there is question on basis of pending i485, and the options are Employment based or Family Based.

I answered it as Family based, thinking that is the correct option for derivative.

Am I correct? Please give your feedback, I am thinking to call USCIS and update them.

Nope. If yours is employment based, derivative also falls under employment based as that is the PD they retain.
