I have been married to my husband for few months now. We are trying to do all the forms in order to send them off but we are struggling with I-864. My husband does not make enough money to sponsor me, his income taxes from past 3 years are very low, therefore we need to use his house as an asset. The question is whether the house value has to be appraised? Whether we can use state assessment from 2008, not market appraised? And what exactly documents we need to attach as a proof/value of a house...(no mortgage)
