Min Time Employed before Job Change in GC

Hi All
I would greatly appreciate advice on the following

I am returning to the USA, to work with an old colleague.
I have already had H1B for 6 years

My Colleague/Friend has offered me a part of the business (a Restaurant / Bar) and we are in process of applying for Green Card.

It feels good but - being conservative, if I go over and leave my current good job in times of recession, and my friend/colleague then is not forthcoming with the share of the business.

Am I tied to the company.
After relocating back to the USA I will have got House, Car etc and it will cost me to relocate back to Ireland.

How long do I legally have to work for the company after the green card goes through - only assuming the worst case scenario.....

I am citizen of Republic of Ireland
By the time the Green Card goes trhough I will Have a
Masters Degree and already have a Batchelors.
I work in the Hospitality Industry - experience with Hotel Multi Nationals over 10 years.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
to keep my mind at ease

Ideally its infinite, .... but attorneys say, if you already employed by that company then 6 months is ok, if you take up employment after GC then at least an year or two will be good ...
