Has anyone ever come across a case where an applicant with a pending I-485 was asked to appear at a local office for NSEERS registration? I am from one of the nseers countries, but I had switched to using the advance parole (AP) for over a year now and traveled with it multiple times without any issues. I am wondering why an NSEERS registration is required for this process now. My NSEERS file was supposedly closed when I started using the AP - as told by the CIS officer at the airport when I went to register the first time I started using my AP. Any thoughts? Thanks.
