  • Birth Certificate for Green card processing

    Hi,

In my Birth certificate the registration date is 2009 as it was recently registered by my father. My attorney is saying that this BC cannot be considered for Green card processing and asking for 2 affidavits(from my father and mother seperately) along with a certificate from the concerned authority stating that my Birth certificate doesn't exist as birth was not registered at the time of birth.

I have the court order saying that my birth was not registered at the time of birth.Based on that order only they issued the certificate. But my attorney says they want a certificate not the order. Now I am confused on what to produce. They wont give me a non-availability certificate as I have it.

Could some one help me out please. Thanks a lot.

    Hi Satyanesh,

Instead of getting the birth registered you could have asked the muncipality to give you a certificate saying that your birth was not registered. You could still try for that right? Or did you get your issue solved?
