  • My H1B goint to Expiry on Mid of 2011

    Hi All,

Thanks for every one who are posting the questions and answers.....

I have a few questions about to apply green card.

    1. I have applied my H1B (2005) but I got the approval in 2006, i got visa in end of 2006 .
    USA Entry Date march 2007.
    Back to India June 2007
Re entry to USA December 2007

    2. In April 2008 I was changed my employer(got the I-797 valid upto Mid of 2011) and now I am working with them more than year(all this time I am in project).now I am planning to apply GC.

My employer is saying that now days is very difficult to get the Labor approvals but I have valid H1B upto 2011 before expiry of my h1b I need to get Labor approval then I can get the extension of my h1b.

What time is good time I need apply GC..
If applied GC and labor is pending still can I get extension???
Can you explain me or guide me on this one.

    Thanks every one.

You can get h1b extension for upto 6 years. You seem to be in the first term of the H1b. Spend some time reading and reseaching as your knowledge of immigration matters seem to be very limited.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
