LC perm, i140 approved How long need to work for same company

Hi All

My LC perm and I140 is approved and I fall under EB3 category . If I change my company do I need to start the process fresh?

If not then how long I need to work for the company after I140 approved?

I have not applied for I485 as my company says they will only apply when the quota opens for EB3.Is this true?

Please let me know.

Yes, you have to restart the whole GC process (you can retain the older PD) if you change employers unless you have had the I485 filed and the application remains pending for 180 days or more which is when the law has a provision to change to a same/similar position with another employer.

To file the 485, the EB3 PD should be current.
