Hi,
I would like to ask for your advice. I want to apply for a green card via EB-2 (NIW) but I am not sure if I have a chance. I can comply with four of the requirements (they ask for three), including a Master’s in Finance, a related certification (FRM), a membership in a professional organization (GARP), and up to four letters of recommendation (from a recognized professor and three managers, including a well-known person in the risk management field). I work for a bank evaluating risk models (for three years now) and I was thinking about writing an essay explaining why risk management, and specially the evaluation of models, is in the national interest of the US. In short, the argument would be that the US needs talented people to evaluate risk models to avoid another crisis. I am just not sure if it would be enough, given that the approval rate of these applications is very low. In addition, if they deny it, can that affect future applications?
Any advice would be useful.
