I-140 Approved, pending CP

I am a L1-A holder and I travelled frequently between US and my home country. My i-140 under EB1 has been approved and is pending for Consular Processing.

I have a trip coming up in March'2010 (for one month stay in th USA), if I am not notified by the US embassy in my home country by then, can I still proceed with my trip? Or should I wait until CP is over then only I go the the USA?

Wish someone can provide me some advise.
