My current employer has sponsored green card petition some years ago (EB2 category with a priority date march 2005; however since I am from India -- the date is not current and I am not able to file for I-485 yet).
They have informed me they will no longer require my services in upcoming months. Consequently I'm looking for other jobs (similar role / job description).
My question is: would it be feasible to transfer priority date if new employer were willing to re-apply for green card? Or will I lose the priority date and have to start afresh?
Any advice or information on the matter is appreciated.
