After AOS approval and receipt of card... do i need to update or seek a new I94?

Do i need to get a new I94 or extend the existing one (Under L1A) after the AOS approval and receipt of the card?

I94 determines the duration of stay of an alien. Once you get your green card you are a permanent resident and hence will not be issued with an I94.

Once you become a permanent resident, I-94's are irrelevant & do not apply to you.
