Does EB2 application make my child resident college student?

I am in academics and currently o H1B. My employer will support my application for EB2 this year. I am curious to know how this affects my son's college application? Will he be considered an international student and need his own F1? He will apply in 2023 and we are from India.

He will be considered international student until he gets his GC. However he doesn't necessarily need F1 visa if he has valid H4 visa or a pending 1485 and EAD.
