Is there minimum bank balance for Emp. Based GC?

Hi - I need help on following:

1. As I am a manager, my employer is initiating EB1. Our company's immigration team is asking for bank letter. Currently, I have scattered my money across investments, hence have little to show (about $5,000-$5,500). Will this be enough for myself, wife and minor son (note that I am currently employed with a decent salary and am submitting my paychecks as well)

2. USCIS considers a person, for EB1, even if he/she does NOT have reportees but performs important functions for a department within the company. Hence, will business & offering development, white-papers/collaterals, new lines of business (go to market themes), groups operation & finance tracking activities, be considered for EB1?

1. If your employer is sponsoring your green card, I don't understand why your lawyer needs your bank letter.

May be the lawyer wants to make sure s/he gets the money for the GC documentation preparation

Doesn't make sense for the bank statement unless they want to establish an affidavit of support like FB GCs. The lawyer may be new to EB GCs.
