I have an unique situation here ... current I am on L1A and having i-94/PED till July-2022. I entered USA on Jan-2020. Due to some internal rules/criteria in my current company I am NOT allowed to initiate EB1C and will NOT be allowed to do so in foreseeable future years as well. The EB2/EB3 filing is also on hold in my current company but might get restarted in coming years. I understand that being on L1A even though I manage PERM/i-140 approval in next 2/3 years I will not be allowed to stay at USA beyond 7+ years (assuming i get all the extensions). Can you please suggest what are the options I have currently now ? Should I covert my L1A to H1B in 2022 filing next year (have to lucky in lottery as well) and then wait till my current company restarts filing PERM/i140 for EB2/EB3? I am open to any kind of advice including short term stay at Canada as well ... Thanks !!!
