  • H1B>EB2-ROW - company lawyers say I can change jobs right after i140

Hi everyone, I'm currently awaiting response on my PERM for a Eb2-ROW (PERM filed a year before my h1b hits 6 years). Lawyers that represent my employer have told my bosses that I could move jobs within my current employer right after the i140 has been approved without having to wait 6 months (AC21), and that would be a decision that would need to be evaluated at that moment if an job offer is available (not giving me any details as to what that entails). From my research the only way to do this would be to use the approved i140 to file a 3yr h1b 'extension' into a new job position with the same employer and then redoing the whole PERM and i140 (including PWD, Advertisement, etc) based on a new job with the same employer. My team is eager for me to move on into a different group since it creates space for them in the team, and I've already completed my cycle with them, but not sure I want to start the process all over again. Is this even possible? Are there any risks? Do I have a say in the process (bosses will always claim that they'll do what the lawyers recommend)?
