Hi All,
My company has filed for I485,I765 and I131 in Oct 2020 and my PD is Dec 2010 in EB2 category. I have received the receipt only from USCIS that the documents have been received. I am pondering a technical to non-technical role change within the same company but different department in same location. The job duties and responsibilities are different with a narrow layer of common skills.
1. Is it OK to change roles while I485,I765,I131 is pending, changing from technical to non-technical role?. Would this affect the current I485/I765 application?.
2. Is it better to consider the role change only after receiving the I765/EAD card?. If so, would this impact I485 later?.
3. If moving within same company but different department, does AC21 need to be filed?. Or AC21 only applies for moving to another company?.
4. Does the 180 days waiting period after I485/I765 filing date, apply only for moving to another company or does it apply for internal company transfer also?.
