  • Change employer Or Wait if “filing dates” is Oct 2015

    Hello,
I am on EB2 and my Priority Date is Oct 2015. I received an offer from an employer. But If I change employer now, will I miss taking advantage of “Dates For Filing” if jumps like it did in Oct 2020? After changing employer, we have to do H1B transfer (2-3 months or more) then Perm processing (8-10 months) and then i-140. it might take 1 - 1.5 years in total. so I will be ineligible for downgrading my EB2 to EB3 for almost 2 years. I don’t have issues with my current employer, I can still work for them for a couple years.

Please advice what’s good move here.

I have the same question except my filing date in Mar 2017(EB2). Is it safe to change employer or wait this year expecting some significant progress in having my priority date Current. I know it may sound irrational that a 2017 PD to be current in 1 year, but since I hear so many things(new immigrations act, release some of the unused GCs, removing dependents from the yearly GC quota, etc) so thought to check.
