  • EB2 PD Current since 4 months - No update from USCIS- Please suggest

    Hello Friends,

I have few questions about my EB2 Green card. Let me explain the story.

I have applied my GC in EB2 category with priority date(PD) Nov 2009 in the Texas service center from employer- A. I have applied for I-485 on Feb 2012 and got the first time GC EAD/AP in March 2012.

    Changed Employer - B in 2016 thru AC21.

I got RFE for Medical, Supplement J, and maintain status in June 2018. We have a response the RFE thru Employer - B and got approved supplement J in Aug 2018.

Right now my PD becomes current from March 01 2021. I have raised the Service Request on Apr 2021 and got a standard response for 60 days to wait from USCIS. It already passed 60 days but I did not get any update from USCIS yet. It has been passed almost 4 months since my PD become current but I did not get any update or RFE from USCIS.

    Question:

    1. Can you please suggest me what should I do to get my green card at the earliest?
    2. Should I raise another service request OR Call/meet the USCIS office?
    3. Should I contact the congressman or senator?

I am waiting for my green card for the last 12 years. Many of my friends got GC from the same texas service center which are behind my priority date. I am really worried about my Green card now.

I will be appreciated if you can suggest me the next steps to get my green card at the ealiest.

    Thank you.

Our priority date is current since 9 months ago. We did an inquiry a month after and they answered that it is taking more time than expected.
We received an RFE for a medical exam around month 5. We did the medical and sent it in.
After 61 days we inquiry again and now the answer is that our case is with an adjudicating officer and we should get an RFE or a decision in 60 days.
It is been 100 days since they received the medical exam and around 20 days since received the answer to the last inquiry.

Now the processing times in Texas Service Center jumped to 50 months, for us, the next time we will be able to do an inquiry is around 14 months (if they keep the 50 months time, but that changes back to 30-32 sometimes).

You can do an inquiry again, and call USCIS. With that information/answers, you can contact a congressman/senator or even ask for help with the ombudsman: https://www.dhs.gov/topic/cis-ombudsman

I'm thinking about doing the same after the 60 days (40 more to go). Good luck.
Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021
