Hi Experts,
Firstly, I am aware of the fact that permanent residency status for two countries (In my case, USA and CANADA) cannot be maintained at the same time.
I was on H1B and moved out to India as I was informed to be sponsored with L1A individual Visa (alongside EB1C GC). With the recent corporate changes, I was lately informed that the EB1CGC would only be sponsored after completion of two successful years at onsite. What if it gets delayed ?
Having said that, I will be receiving PR status (sidekick) for Canada soon and I am struggling to decide which way to go. While I await to be sponsored with EB1C GC at USA, would I be losing the chances to have a Canada PR status ? I did some research and came to know that one needs to spend at least 2 years out of 5 to maintain PR status in canada.
Please suggest the best thing to do in my scenario.
