Can a retiring UN officer/employee begin the process of filing Form I-360 and applying for permanent residency before actually retiring or does she/he have to wait until they are actually retired? In this case, the client meets all of the residency requirements but doesn't plan to retire until 2023, but would like to get a headstart on the filing process. Must he wait until 2023? Thanks.
