Changing employer with approved I140 (approved >180 days, PD Sept 2016 - India EB3)

Hi,
I have an approved I140 with my current employer with a priority date of Sept 2016, filed in the EB3 category (I140 approved for >180 days). I am a citizen of India. Current dates for EB2/EB3 are in the 2012-2013 range

I am looking to switch jobs and move to a new employer.

Can my current employer revoke the I140 petition with USCIS? how does that affect my priority date?
