My wife got her visa in March 2022. At that time we were only dating (not married). She aready got e31 visa and will leave soon. My friends are telling me I should update her marital status in DS 260 before she enters US otherwise it could take me 2 years to join her. The ds 260 is locked and currently the ds 260 shows “single”. My friends have informed me that after visa grant only the US embassy can unlock ds 260 and allow update of marital status and information. She is going to US next week. Please advise what to do.
