Hello everyone,
I had a friend whose I485 is pending for two year already. He applied for I485 through EB3 unskilled program on Oct 2020. He did his interview on June 2021. Now he's still waiting on the decision from USCIS. He tried to file a mandamus recently but the judge dismiss the motion.
His contract is up and he is already move on to work for another company because the old company because the old company don't want to hire him no more. Even though he already for a different company for 6 months now, his old I485 didn't get withdrawn somehow. Should he keep renewing his work permit and wait for the decision or should he file a I485 J?
And just in case his AOS got denied, can he switch back to F1 visa while in the US?
