Filing EB-3 with approved EB-2 I-140

Question: I have approved labor and I-140 on EB-2 category with my ex-employer and my current company insisting to apply my case on EB-3.
Should it be advisable to apply on EB-3 with my current employer? What are the pros' and cons?

If current company applies on EB-3, should it affect anyway on my approved EB-2?

Your current employer can only apply according to the minimum qualifications required at the current job.

You can continue your EB2 with your ex-employer if they are willing to hire you right away when you get the green card.
