Hi,
I am currently on H1B visa and my wife is on H4 visa. She is currently attending classes in a University in San Francisco. I was planning to convert her visa to F1B so that she could start working after her studies but had few questions in mind:
1. In order to transfer her from H4 to F1B what is the process. Do I need to file change of status out here in US or can she just go out of the country with the I-20 and get her visa stamped. Is she going to face any issues in stamping (like dual intent etc.)?
2. Can I start my Green Card process when she is on F1B and add her as a dependent?
3. Is there a Green Card stage where she has to either convert into H4 or H1B before proceeding?
Please help me with my questions. Thanks a lot for all your help.
