Employment after GC

Hi,

Is there any fixed period I need to work with my current employer or I can change my job anytime after getting GC in hand. My employer told me min 6 mnths I need to work with him and in this regard he got an agreement on a plain paper signed.

I have asked the same question (in this forum I guess), the reply I got was if you are working for the employer when your I485 is approved, it is a good idea to work for them at least 6 months, to avoid future problems (like when applying for citizenship). You can also look for other options, see more about AC21.

I am not sure about the validity of the agreement you signed with your employer.
