Am i eligible to file in EB2?

Hi,

I have more than 5 years experience in IT industry. I asked my employer to file my GC in EB2. He was saying that it won't possible to file because your payroll running for 60k/year and it should be possible to file in EB3. But one of my friends also has 7 Years and earning 60k/year, his employer filed his GC in EB2.

Am i Eligible to file in EB2 according to my expertise in IT?
What factors does GC Filing depend on?
Does it vary from Employer to Employer?

The most important you should consider is whether your job requires the minimum qualifications of EB2. If not, you don't qualify for EB2 even if you are MS or PhD or 20 years experience.
