My parents filed me a petition in 1998 as green card holder status when I was unmarried. The petition is approved in 2000. I got married just before the approval and heard that case is going to be cancel because I got married - what a law?
However, my parents got citizenship in 2004 and applied again as a 21 over and married category.
I was in US since Dec 1997 before my parents came here and still having hard time to get GC.
I'm in H1 visa and have two more year left.
So my question is - would it be possible to upgrade the petition filed in 1998 as a Green card holder and upgraded when they become citizenship? If i can use that petition, the visa number is current otherwise I've to wait another 3 more years from the petition filed in 2004 as a citizenship status.
Any help is appreciated...
