On L1A visa, need to know when to start GC process

Hi,

I am on L1A visa and working as a manager. I came to US a month back. Need to know when can I start my Green Card processing and what is the process. Based on your experience, how much time it might take if I apply under:
1) EB1 or
2) EB2

What are the basic requirement to file the GC under EB1 category?
