PLEASE HELP! my sponsor backed out.

I am already due for a consular interview next month. However, since my sponsor sponsored me 6 years ago, they have not given me an updated letter of employment and they are not getting in touch with me lately. I fear that they are not interested in me anymore. What will happen to my green card? What should I do? It's really not my fault. PLEASE... what should I do to salvage my green card. Thank you. Hope to hear from anyone who can give me correct advice.
