Application for GreenCard from outside of USA

Hi All, I am currently in US under my H1B visa. I am planning to move canada under my PR as I got a new job offer.

I have a company in US who is willing to sponser my GC. If I can get my process started and then if I leave US then will there be any issues for my GC process in US? Do I have to be physically present in US to apply and to get green card?

As green card is for future job, an employer can apply for your green card as long as you really plan to work for that employer right after getting the green card.
