Applying for Mom's GC concurrently on 15 Oct and Indian PP expiring on 17th Dec 2012

Hi Folks,

I am planning to apply for my Mom's GC concurrently( I130/485/131 /EAD) on 15th Oct (visiting me from India) and her Indian passport is expiring on 17th Dec 2012, her I-94 is valid till 22nd Jan 2013.

Now need help with following questions,

1) My a understanding is once 485 (AOS ) is applied and accepted for a individual then he/she can stay in US until their case is decided, is this correct ? if this true then I should be able to apply for her pp renewal in USA based on 485 under processing state ?

2) Is there any issue with her passport expiring while her 130/485 are still under processing ? can she travel to and from India on AP after her applications 130/485 are still under processing after her passport is renewed?

3) One of my friend has told me that while 130/485 are under processing you can't travel out of USA, if you do so your application will be considered cancelled , is this correct?

2. That's fine. She can travel.
3. That is not true. As long as she has Advance Parole, she can travel.
