Priority Date question

hello, I am new here.

My Priority Date is December 12, 2005. F-1 category. Currently Visa Bulletin shows Dec 1, 2005 dates. When should I apply for Adjustment of Status. I am legally in USA.

I thought my PD was current, because its the same month.
So, I guess I have wait until next month, when VISA bulletin shows Jan 1, 2013. So, thats when my PD becomes current?

Would NVC send me any notification via email regarding next procedure? or I just apple for adjustment of status?

Visa Cut off Date Dec 1, 2005 Means Any one who's priority date (PD) is EARLIER than this date is eligible for Visa Interview.

If next month Cutoff Date moves to Dec 15, 2005 or Jan 01, 2006 etc, your PD will be current and you will be eligible for visa interview.

One of my friends said, in two weeks, I should hear from NVC, because they (internally) will know, next cut-off date would be jan 1, 2006. So technically my visa # will become available in two weeks (that makes Dec 10, 2005).

Email NVC and tell them that you will be doing AOS instead of consular processing. Wait for their instruction but you can also read in DOS website about AOS.

Email them now so they will know where to send your papers for interview. Better yet call them so you get an immediate response.

just an update.

Today, VISA bulletin F1 category is Dec 22, 2005. (my PD is Dec 12, 2005) Thats makes my visa current. so, before I send NVCC an email, what should I ask or inquire about my next step.
