  • GC for Parents - Question regarding concurrent filing

    Hello , I am planning to file GC for both my parents through Concurrent filing as they are in US right now. I have the following paper work..

    - I-130 ( $420)
    - I-485 ($1070)
    - I-864
    - I-693
    - I-131
    I have naturalization certificate and my passport.
    Both my parents have school leaving certificates along with 2 birth affidavits for each.

    I have the following questions ..

    - Can I file all the above listed forms together.

    - Do I need to send a cover letter when I file all the above listed forms together

    - My fathers name in my birth certificate is listed in a short name. Do i need to get any supporting docs.

    - Do I need to send I-864 for each of my parents separately or 1 form is enough.

    - When I mail the forms to USCIS , do i need to send them in 2 separate mails ( one for father and another for mother) or can they be sent in the same mail.

    - My parents visa will be expiring on Feb 1st 2013. once they get the receipt from USCIS for i-130 , are they legal to stay in US.

    - My mom can read and understand English.But she is not that fluent as my dad. Do we need to hire a interpreter for the interview or can I be the interpreter.

    Am I missing anything?

    >>> Nice to do that

    >>> Yes. Read https://www.immihelp.com/birth-certi...ion-and-visas/

    >>> Separately

    >>> Either way. If you put them together, make sure to separate them in the envelope so that they can easily separate them to put them appropriately in mother's or father's file.

    >> You can be the interpreter.

    However, before you do this, make sure to read https://www.insubuy.com/new-immigrant-insurance/-plans/ first.
