  • porting of Priority date from F2B to F3 Category

    HI experts
Using priority date in the family based GC
As my mom is Permenant resident(GC)
if I am applying I 130 thru my mom in (F2B) category as I am single unmarried and over 21
so in couple of years if my mom becomes citizen can use this priority date and port it to F3 category?
    can you please conform ?

Assuming you don't marry before your mom becomes a USC your category will convert to F1 when she becomes a USC. Then if you marry it converts to F3.

Date of your marriage must be after the date your mother becomes US Citizen. Make sure that you have good proof of it. In my brother's case, US embassy in new delhi called our neighbours to verify the actual date of marriage.
