    switching from CP to AOS

    I have applied for my Mom's GC who is currently in India.
    Her I-130 was approved by USCIS and the application sent to NVC for consular processing.
    The rest of the process it seems will take 5-6 months.
    Can she still come here on her tourist visa and switch to AOS while she is here?

    Please advice.
